WaterWater is life. But more often than not, it contains a lot of things that may endanger the health of your family. As such, you should make it a point to have your water at home tested to find out if it contains unnecessary extras, such as bacteria and toxins. This should be a priority, especially if you have kids at home.

Companies that test the water and create relevant instruments, such as drum filter cloth, recommend that you do these things to find out if your water is safe.

See the Dirt

See if your water has dirt and residue. You can do this by simply using a piece of cloth or a sock. Use it as a filter and let the water run for a few seconds. After that, take the cloth off and see if it gets dark or yellowish. If you see this result, chances are your water is not purely clean.

Use a Water Testing Kit

If you want to find out if your water contains pollutants, get yourself a water test kit. These kits will let you know if your water is basic or a bit acidic. They’ll also let you find out if it contains chloride, copper, bacteria, lead, sulphate, and tannin. Keep in mind, however, that water test kits are not always accurate. To be sure, you might consider working with the pros.

Get in Touch With Your Water Provider

Testing your water should not remain on the surface level. If you want to delve into it, you might as well contact your water provider. But if you’re still not convinced that your water at home is clean enough, you can always work with an independent lab. The only problem is their service can be a bit expensive.
